Reshooting
We organised our videos in folders, then reviewed them, and decided what needed to be reshot next week.
Shots to reshoot
First church — Reshoot the shots. The camera settings were wrong at first, which caused the light to appear in bands. We corrected the settings near the end of the shoot, so we need to film these shots again.
Stairs — Reshoot the shots where the artist breaks the bottle and drinks from it.
Bridge 2 — Reshoot the slow-motion shot of the artist walking towards the camera. People were visible in the background, which made the shot look untidy.
B-Street — Repeat the shots with more people on the street. We tried different angles, but the street was too quiet for the idea to work.
Final shot (“Gran”) — Film it in a different location because the light reflecting off the background was too strong. We now know how to do the push-in and pull-out movement better.
No reshoot needed
- Second church — All shots are good.
- Getting out of the car — All good.
- Bridge 1 — All good.
- Park — All good.
Equipment for the next shoot
- Bring a camera that is compatible with the stabiliser, and film some moving shots with it.
- Bring the light again — we needed it a lot last time.
- Bring the same camera we used last time, along with a tripod.
